Aims 

After the course, the student will be able to: (1) test digital communication links using simulation tools (e.g. gnu-radio, MATLAB, python), (2) implement a digital communication link using software-defined radio, (3) build a system-level simulation of wireless networks using ns3.

 
Contents 

Content: (1) Review of digital communications, (2) Simulation tools for evaluating the performance of digital communication links, (3) Introduction to software-defined radios, (4) Wireless cellular network architecture and basics of ns3 simulator, (5) Analysis of cellular networks using ns3.

 
Teaching Methods 

Video lectures/tutorials 14 h (7 x 2h). Computer assignments 28 h (7 x 4h). Final work 38 h. Independent studies 24 h. Total: 104 h.
