Aims 

By the end of the course, students will be able to 1. do the aerodynamic design of axial and radial flow turbines and radial compressors, 2. understand the design principles of axial and radial flow turbines and radial compressors, 3. understand the differences of bearing types, and 4. understand rotor dynamics and balancing of rotating machines.

 
Contents 

Compressor design, turbine design, bearings, rotor dynamics, balancing of rotating machines.
