Aims 

After successfully completing the course, students are able to:
- Utilize their knowledge in Computer 3D modelling and related software tools
- Identify the most important aspects in development of a 3D model (Solidowrks)
- Create an applicable 3D model Design using in the manufacturing environment
- Design and utilize manufacturing drawings

 
Contents 

- Modelling in product design, modelling methods, 3D-solid and surface models. 3D models to use in production, importing and exporting of 3D files.
- Advanced solid modeling and visualization.
- Basic knowledge on symbols of technical drawing

 
Teaching Methods 

Lectures 28 h, tutorial and project work 28, independent study including final project 74h. Total workload 130 h. (Lectures and tutorials will be arranged in Lahti campus)
