Aims 

The student can summarize the key issues in network management. The student can apply the network mapping tools in modelling and describing different networks. The student can define, categorize and analyze customer requirements and their relation to business. The student can define the position of the company in the network and understands the factors affecting the position. The student can recognize and evaluate different group methods in network management. The student can evaluate analytically his/her and other peoples' actions as part of a system.

 
Contents 

Must know: Backgrounds and theories in network management, Modelling the macro-level networks, Value flow mapping, Customer requirements, Network change management, Companies and organizations as part of the network.
Should know: Connecting customer requirements to network, Business model in network, Changing business models, Systems thinking.
Nice to know: Managing networks in digital services, analytical assessment in network management.

 
Teaching Methods 

Lectures 6 h, exercises 10 h, finalizing the exercises 10 h, reading and getting familiar with course material 28 h, Moodle tasks 10 h, total of 64 h in 1. period.
