Upon completion of the course students will know the key principles and practices of green logistics management. Emphasis will be given to the changing role of logistics service providers in the supply chain and the importance of the environmental sustainability in their business models and strategies. By the end of the module, the students will be able to show a critical understanding of the basic principles of logistics and SCM; to identify and analyse major evolving trends in logistics and SCM; to recognize different type of logistics service providers and to assess their development stage; to explore benefits and challenges in implementing the principles of green logistics; to analyze the role of environmental sustainability in the strategy of logistics service providers; to define and implement a green logistics auditing plan; to identify a decarbonization strategy for logistics.
