Aims 

After completing the course students will be able to:

  • define the basic concepts of supply chain management
  • analyze inventory and design methods for inventory management
  • evaluate roughly the cost effects of logistical decisions.
 
Contents 

Relevant concepts of supply chains and logistics management. The role and tasks of logistics and supply chain management in a firm. Principles and basic methods of production and inventory control, supply management and distribution management. Demand forecasting. Introduction to problems of controlling material flows in inter-organizational supply chains. Performance measurement in logistics and supply chain management.

 
Teaching Methods 

Lectures 28h, assignments 42 h, reading 54 h, exam and preparation for the exam 32 h, 3.period. Total workload 156 h.
