Aims 

Aim of the course is to highlight the developments in the design of energy systems, aircraft,
cars, electronic equipment, constructions, packaging, etc., which depend critically upon the
availability of novel materials. Of equal importance is an understanding of both advanced
processing techniques, the latest computer based design procedures and environmental
aspects essential for product commercialization from the concept phase. After having
completed this course, the student should be able to: define concepts and entities related to
high performance products have a good understanding about product range manufactured
with various methods can solve real-life problems related to high performance products.

 
Contents 

Composite industry overview: applications for composites, history and current technologies.
Health and safety and industry terminology in high performance products. Applications in
energy systems, aeronautical industry, automotive industry, marine industry, construction
industry and smart materials in packaging industry.
