The Master's degree (120 ECTS) consists of core studies, specialisation studies, minor studies and free elective studies. The Master's Thesis and Seminar is included in the specialisation studies.
Students choose one of the following minors to their MSc degree:
KoDSaMate Advanced Materials Engineering or
KoDSaLate Laser Processing
The extent of the minor studies is 25 ECTS cr.
The degree doesn't include any free elective studies. However students may include free elective studies to their MSc degree, provided that the free elective studies don't extend graduation time (recommendation two years). Free elective studies can include any courses offered by LUT if the required prerequisites are fulfilled. Studies in other universities/from abroad can be included upon application. Students may include an internship that improves professional skills to elective studies. An internship may be worth a maximum of 10 ECTS credits.
The MSc in Mechatronic System Design is also available as a Double Degree Programme for the students of our partner universities. The Double Degree Programmes have separate degree structures.
